here’s What people are saying about our sea-doo Rentals & TOurs:

“Possibly the most fun I've ever had, and worth ever penny. First time driving a Sea-Doo, and on a beautiful evening in the Halifax Harbour. Slowed down for some photo opportunities, otherwise, it was full throttle, riding the waves around George's Island and checking out the bridges during sunset. Don't worry if you've never done it, it's really easy.”

Requirements & Disclaimers:

ALL Drivers must have a Drivers License, all Additional Riders must provide Photo ID.

You do NOT need a Boater’s License (PCOC), but you do need a Drivers License to drive the Sea-doo! A Learner’s Drivers License or an International Drivers License are also accepted to drive the Sea-doo (so long as the government issued drivers license has your Photo, First and Last Name, Date of Birth, Address, and Drivers License Number). A temporary driver’s license is totally fine so long as you are able to provide a secondary piece of photo ID :) Additional riders 16+ years old are required to provide a form of Government Issued Photo ID (Photos are accepted). For the drivers, we issue you a temporary Boater’s License before you head out on the water through our 15 minute safety orientation, which permits you to drive any of our Sea-Doo boats for the duration of your rental.

A Credit Card MUST be provided at the time of your Sea-doo rental in case of incurred damages.

You must provide a valid Drivers License & Credit Card per Sea-doo rented, and you must bring the physical copy of each for your rental. We do not charge a damage deposit unless the Sea-doo is returned damaged, in which we would charge a $1,000 damage deposit to the Credit Card provided to us. If you do not provide a credit card upon arrival, we cannot send you out for your Sea-doo rental. We do not accept Debit Cards, or Visa Debit cards.

Age Requirements

Sea-Doo drivers must be 19 years of age or older. Exceptions can be made if the driver is 16-18 years old, has a drivers license, and their parent or legal guardian is on the same Sea-doo with them. The Minimum age for a passenger is 4 years of age. All passengers 4-18 years old must ride the Sea-doo with their parent or legal guardian.

Arriving 30 minutes early for your rental

It is required that all customers arrive 30 minutes early for their rental to complete the necessary Waivers, to get equipped for their rental, and to complete the mandatory15 minute Safety Orientation conducted by one of our Staff members. If you are late, these necessary steps may eat into the time you have out on the water (your return time will not be extended). For example, if you booked a seadoo for 3:00-4:00pm then you must arrive for 2:30pm. If you arrived at 2:50pm and you get on the water by 3:10pm after completing all the necessary safety steps with our team, your rental will still end at 4:00pm.

+ How many people can ride one Sea-Doo, is there a weight limit?

We allow a maximum of 2 people on a single Sea-Doo (or 2 adults and a child under 70lbs), provided that the combined weight of all riders is under 600 lb pounds. Keep in mind that it is easier to maneuver with one person on a jet ski.

Hats (tight not loose), sunglasses (on a rope!), and sunscreen are also important to bring along.

+ Is The Halifax Harbour clean enough to use a Sea-Doo in?

The answer is of course! Over the last 20 years, multiple levels of government have spent $333 million to clean up The Halifax Harbour with amazing success!

+ Does the tour run in the rain?

Rain is not the only weather that can prevent us from being able to take a tour or guided rental out. Weather and water conditions can sometimes be dangerous, even if it appears to be a beautiful day out. If we cancel your tour, you will be given a choice to reschedule or receive a full refund. We will notify you of a cancellation at least 1 hour prior to your tour time. However, if you are concerned about the conditions, please give us a call and ask.

+ What is the best time of day to go on a Sea-Doo rental or a tour?

  • Morning (9am-noon) – This is typically the calmest part of the day with little to no harbour traffic.
  • Afternoon (Noon-5pm) – This is the height of the “action”. Want to be out riding (safely) at the same time as the ferries, cruise ships and tour boats? Afternoons are the time to do it!
  • Late Afternoon/Early Evening (5pm-Sunset) – Anytime in The Halifax Harbour is beautiful, but late afternoon takes the cake. The water generally starts to calm, boat traffic diminishes, and the sun starts going down on yet another day in the greatest city in the world. Breathtaking.

+ Will I be charged extra for gas?

No, gas is included in the tour or guided rental price.
